Software App Updates

Troubleshooting assistance for keeping the app up to date.

If you're ever experiencing app issues, one thing we can check is to make sure everything is up to date! Here’s how you can easily check for software and app updates on your iPhone or Android device:

For iPhone (iOS)

Check for iPhone Software Updates:

  • Open the Settings app.

  • Scroll down and tap General.

  • Tap Software Update.

  • Your phone will automatically check for updates. If one is available, you’ll see a message with the iOS version and an option to Download and Install it.

  • Just follow the prompts to complete the update.

Check for App Updates:

  • Open the App Store.

  • Tap your profile icon (top-right corner).

  • Scroll down to see apps with updates.

  • You can tap Update All to update everything or tap Update next to specific apps to update them individually.

Alternative (Automatic App Updates):

  • Go to Settings.

  • Scroll down and tap App Store.

  • Under Automatic Downloads, turn on App Updates.

  • This way, your apps will update automatically when a new version is available.

For Android

Check for Android Software Updates:

  • Open the Settings app.

  • Scroll down and tap Software Update or System (depending on your device).

  • Tap Check for Update.

  • If there’s an update available, follow the steps to download and install it.

Check for App Updates:

  • Open the Google Play Store.

  • Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines or your profile picture).

  • Tap My apps & games.

  • Under the Updates tab, you’ll see a list of apps ready for an update.

  • Tap Update All to update everything, or Update next to each app to update them individually.

Alternative (Automatic App Updates):

  • Open the Google Play Store.

  • Tap your profile icon (top-right corner).

  • Tap Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps.

  • Choose whether to update apps "Over any network" or "Over Wi-Fi only".

  • This will ensure your apps update automatically in the background.
