How do I check for Software or App Updates?

Troubleshooting assistance for keeping the app up to date.

Keeping your device software and the Proof app up to date is key to ensuring smooth performance, avoiding bugs, and staying compatible with new features.

If you're experiencing technical issues, we recommend starting with the steps below to confirm you're running the latest versions.


๐ŸŽ For iPhone (iOS) Users

โœ… Check for iOS Software Updates:

  1. Open your deviceโ€™s Settings

  2. Tap General

  3. Select Software Update

  4. If an update is available, follow the prompts to Download and Install

Your phone will automatically check for the latest iOS version.


โœ… Check for App Updates:

  1. Open the App Store

  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner

  3. Scroll down to view pending updates

  4. Tap Update All or Update next to the Proof app


๐Ÿ” Enable Automatic App Updates:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap App Store

  3. Under Automatic Downloads, toggle on App Updates

This ensures your apps stay updated without needing manual checks.


๐Ÿค– For Android Users

โœ… Check for Android Software Updates:

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap Software Update or System (depending on your device)

  3. Tap Check for Update

  4. If available, follow the prompts to download and install


โœ… Check for App Updates:

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap the menu icon (three lines) or your profile picture

  3. Tap My apps & games

  4. Under the Updates tab, tap Update All or Update next to the Proof app


๐Ÿ” Enable Automatic App Updates:

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap your profile icon

  3. Go to Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps

  4. Choose:

    • Over any network, or

    • Over Wi-Fi only

This ensures your apps update automatically in the background.
