We’ve introduced a new structured flow to help you log unsuccessful attempts faster, with fewer edits and more clarity for everyone involved.

This article walks through what’s new, how it works, and how it benefits you in the field.

🔄 What’s Changing?

When you make an unsuccessful attempt, you’ll now go through a quick checklist instead of typing everything out from scratch.

Step 1: Choose the Address Type

You’ll start by selecting the type of address where the attempt was made, this will determine which answer options display in the next screen.

  • Residential

  • Workplace

  • Entity

  • Registered Agent

  • OtherSkips the checklist and lets you write a freeform note like before

📌 Tip: If you’re unsure, do your best to choose the most accurate type. “Other” is still available if nothing fits

Step 2: Answer 3–4 Quick Questions

After selecting the address type, you’ll answer a short set of multiple choice questions based on what happened during the attempt:

  1. Who did you speak with?

  2. What did they say? (only shows if someone was present)

  3. What did you observe at the location?

  4. Who else did you speak with?

You can always select “Nobody”, “Nothing”, or “Other” to skip or add your own details when needed.

🧠 Why it helps: These questions guide you through what clients and legal teams need for documentation, so you don’t have to guess what to write.

Other Examples

For “Other” we pre-populate the start of the sentence for you to help reduce typing.

No Access to Property

We’ll create a new sub-menu to select from - if the reason is still missing, you’ll be able to select other and manually enter the reason.

✍️ Your Description Is Auto-Written for You

Once you answer the checklist, the app builds a complete description for you—based on what you entered.

  • You can edit, add, or delete anything before submitting.

  • You can still include any extra notes that are important to the attempt.

Less typing, fewer follow-ups, more time back.

📱 Where You’ll See It

On the Mobile App

You’ll see the checklist flow after scanning the QR code or starting an attempt manually. It’s part of the new Attempt Landing Page you’re already using for location photos.

Complete the 1st page on the attempt flow —the address type you select powers the available options on the next screen.

The form starts out blank with guidance letting you know to select the best-fitting option and then the ability to update or revise your description before you submit the attempt.

🧩 Why This Helps You

We built this new flow to help servers spend less time writing, reduce edits, and get to affidavit prep faster.

Key Benefits:

  • Faster affidavit preparation → less time waiting to get paid

  • Clearer, more consistent descriptions → fewer questions or follow-ups

  • Meets client standards automatically → helps avoid missed details

When clients are satisfied, it improves trust and helps everyone succeed.

🔜 What’s Coming Next

We’re already working on improvements based on your feedback:

  • Multi-select answers for each question

(e.g., spoke with more than one person, observed multiple things)

  • Smart prompts based on client requirements

(like vehicle details when cars are observed at a residential address)

Stay tuned—your input helps us build the best tools for the field.
