The Proof Chrome Extension lets you create serves and chat with your server directly within Filevine—no need to switch tabs!

How to Get Started

🔹 Supported Browsers: Chrome and Microsoft Edge (via Chrome Store).

  1. Create a Proof Account: If you do not have an account with Proof already, sign up at app.proofserve.com/signup. You will sign into the chrome extension with the same email and password.

  2. Set Up Integration: Follow the steps in our Filevine integration guide (one-time setup per firm).

  3. Download the Extension: Get it from the Chrome Store (each user must install separately).

  4. Pin the extension: Keep Proof pinned to your browser for one click access

  5. Navigate to a Filevine project: Open up a specific project on Filevine.

  6. Launch the Extension: Click the Proof icon in the top right corner of your browser. If you did not pin the extension, click on the puzzle icon first.

  7. Log In: Use your Proof email and password. If you have issues signing in, try logging out of the web app first.

  8. Submit a Serve Request: Click the green "Submit Serve Request" button to initiate a serve.

  • Each user must install the extension

  • Version 114 Chrome or Edge browser

  • Secure OAuth2 authentication

  • No sensitive data stored locally

  • All data transfers via secure HTTPS

I see a spinning P when trying to sign in to the extension. What do I do?

Try logging out of your Proof account at app.proofserve.com then refreshing the extension.

Does the Proof Chrome Extension work with any other LPMS?

No, today we only support Filevine.

How do notifications work?

Head to edit profile on Proof to turn on email notifications.

I see "Project Unavailable". What do I do?

Proof only supports one Org per firm. This project belongs to an Org that isn’t linked to your account. To create a serve for this project, please contact us at support@proofserve.com. Otherwise, go to the Project Hub and select a project under a different Org.
