How do I chat with the client?

Proof makes it easy to communicate through the integrated job chat feature in the mobile app. This tool allows you to message both the client and the assigned Proof Specialist directly for logistical updates related to the serve.


📲 How to Access In-Job Chat

  1. Open the Proof mobile app

  2. Select the relevant job

  3. Tap the “Chat” tab on the right-hand side of the screen

You’ll be connected to both the client and the assigned Specialist for that job.

💬 When to Use In-Job Chat

Use the chat to:

  • Confirm timing or access instructions

  • Provide real-time updates

  • Ask logistical or location-based questions

  • Requesting a job be removed from your queue

🚫 Please do not contact the client directly about payment or additional addresses. Payment is handled by the Proof platform, and all job fees are managed internally.

🧭 What the Specialist Handles

Your assigned Proof Specialist is your go-to resource for:

  • Skip-tracing or requesting additional addresses

  • Communicating with the client about payment, charges, or serve outcomes

  • Approving any new address attempts before you proceed

If you have a job-related question that doesn’t belong in the In-Job Chat — such as something sensitive or specific to policy — we recommend emailing the Specialist directly. They’ll coordinate with the client as needed and provide next steps.
