Sometimes a job needs to move forward in a slightly different way than originally planned, and we want to make sure you're always paid correctly when that happens. Whether a job requires service at a new address or an additional round of attempts, we'll guide you through the process and ensure you know what to expect before moving forward.
🏡 Service at a New Address
In some cases, the original address provided for a job may turn out to be invalid, or new attempts may be exhausted for service. When that happens, the client may choose to continue service at an alternative address. This may be an address they provide directly or one suggested by Proof.
If the client provides a new address, the address change request will be posted in the job chat. We will then reach out to you directly in this same chat to confirm whether you'd like to proceed with service at the new location.
If Proof identifies a potential new address, we'll first request the client's approval in the job chat. Because adding an additional service address includes an extra fee for the client, we never move forward until that approval is clearly documented.
Once the client approves the new address, we'll reach out to confirm whether you're available to complete service there. If you choose to continue, you'll receive additional pay for a new round of attempts for each approved address.
Please do not attempt service at a new address until client approval has been documented in the job chat. This ensures your attempts are valid and that your additional payment can be processed correctly.
🔄 Additional Rounds of Attempts
There may also be times when service isn't successful within the appropriate number of attempts included with the selected service speed. When this happens, we'll contact the client to determine how they'd like to proceed.
The client can choose to either:
Request an additional round of service attempts
Close the job and receive an Affidavit based on the attempts already completed.
Because another round of attempts requires an additional service fee, we always wait for the client's decision before moving forward. Once we receive their instructions, we'll confirm the next steps with you.
If the client approves another round and you choose to continue, you'll receive additional pay equal to the first round of attempts. The same service expectations will apply unless there is an agreement to change the service speed.
When Additional Pay Is Issued
Whether you're completing service at an approved additional address, performing another round of attempts, or both, your additional payment is processed after you've uploaded the completed Affidavit for all service attempts, the same process as if you completed service at one address or at one service location. If the Affidavit requires a signature or notarization, those requirements must also be completed before payment is initiated.
Waiting until the final Affidavit has been submitted ensures the client receives all required documentation before payment is released and allows us to process your compensation accurately.
IMPORTANT:
Please do not use the job chat for payment-related questions, as it is reserved for service-related questions and job updates only.
If you have a payment question regarding a job that is currently in progress, please contact the assigned Proof Specialist for that job directly outside of the job chat. Their contact details will be listed in the app.
This helps keep job chats organized and ensures payment questions are handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We hope this information is helpful! If you've already completed a job where you believe you're missing additional pay, please reach out to the Server Support Team at wecanhelp@proofserve.com for further review 💰.
