All addresses added across all re-dispatched serves are listed in one view. There are four possible labels an address can have:
Active: We’ve changed the label name from Primary to “Active”. Every serve can only have one Active address. It’s where attempts are currently being made.
Needs approval: Addresses added by a Proof specialist, but have not been approved for attempts. This will need your input before a process server will begin attempts.
Backup: This could be an address you added during serve creation. A backup address is not an address that has been attempted and is not the current active address for service. If the active address exhausts attempts or if it is found to be a bad address, a backup address could be approved for service.
Attempted: If any server throughout the serve (across re-dispatch) made one or more attempts on the address, it will be labeled “Attempted”.
Approving or Unapproving Addresses
You have the ability to approve an address from the Address Field on your own.
By selecting the collapsible arrow next to "Needs approval", you will see an image of the address with options to "Approve" or "Don't Approve". Simply click on "Approve" and the address will be accepted.
The platform will ask you to confirm the updated address, as the new address will be added as an additional charge to the serve. Once confirmed, the address will automatically be set as the Active address.
If you select "Don't Approve", it will allow you to decline an address, and it will be deleted from the serve and will no longer appear in the Addresses Field.
Edit an Existing Address
If you wish to edit an existing address on your serve, simply click on the address you want to edit and make any necessary adjustments. This edit feature can help when you need to edit a unit number, add a unit number, or provide additional address notes, such as a gate code or special unit instructions. If you need to edit an address beyond these steps, please chat on the serve to coordinate with the Proof specialist, or use the Add address button in the Address field.
Adding an Address
Adding a new address is simple - click the "Add address" button located near the top of the Address field. It will walk you through adding a new address to the serve.
Please note that any address you add will become a Backup address for the serve. A full service fee will be assessed for the newly added address if the new address is set as the Active address for the serve, which will be included on the invoice.
