Any job uploaded with the Court State Georgia designation will be held for review by our Appointment Specialist. In certain counties, a Motion & Order (M&O) is required before service can begin.
Process Overview:
Initial Review & Documentation
Proof’s Appointment Specialist will determine if an M&O is required.
If so, the Specialist will provide the client with a Process Server Affidavit (PSA).
Client Filing Responsibilities
The client must file both the Motion & Order and the PSA with the appropriate court.
Once filed and signed by a judge, the signed M&O must be uploaded by the client to the Documents tab on the job in the Proof platform.
Hold on Service
Jobs requiring an M&O will be placed on hold.
No service attempts may be made until the signed Order has been received.
Case-Style Affidavit Requirement (If Applicable)
In some counties, a case-style PSA is required.
Proof will coordinate this with the server, ensure it is accurate and notarized, and upload it to the job for client use in filing the M&O.
Delays & Scheduling
Please expect potential delays while servers accommodate notarization and filing requests within their scheduled routes.
Once the signed Order is uploaded and received by Proof, service will begin promptly.
Please note: The Timing of M&O approval is determined solely by the courts. Any delays in obtaining a signed Order are outside of Proof’s control.
