We are pleased to offer a hybrid service for specific documents for Minnesota.
Our service allows for two personal service attempts before posting within four days of the job creation. We kindly inform you that the documents will be posted to the door during the second unsuccessful attempt, and extra attempts cannot be added.
This is especially helpful for vacate and demand jobs, including evictions, demand for compliance, late notices, notices to quit, and notices of response deadlines.
The hybrid service will follow the specific Minnesota Service of Process Rules:
"(Minn. Stat. §504B.332)** Minnesota state law outlines specific requirements for serving notices in residential eviction cases: + **Two (2) personal attempts** must be made on separate days + **One attempt must occur between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.** + If both personal and substitute service attempts fail, **posting and mailing** are permitted after the second attempt **Substitute Service Requirements:** If the defendant cannot be found in the county, you may leave the summons and complaint: + With a person of suitable age and discretion at the defendant's last usual place of abode, or + If no residence exists, with someone of suitable age occupying the property described in the complaint For more information, refer to **Minn. Stat. §504B.332, Subd. 3–4**."
Please note: This service speed is not ideal for certain cases and documents. To ensure that your documents are served correctly, I would like to direct you to your court clerk. They are the best authority on the proper procedures for submission. We truly care about your success and want to ensure everything is handled accurately.
The hybrid serve option can be selected during job creation when the serve speeds are chosen. If the hybrid option is unavailable, please double-check the documents and the court state selected. If you have any questions, please chat with our Support Team or contact us at support@proofserve.com.
