All individuals who are interested in using the Proof Platform are required to sign an agreement that lays out the expectations you have as a person who Process Serves using Proof.
We update this agreement regularly to ensure we are in alignment with regulations and industry best practices. Our most recent update took place February 2024. Below are some FAQs related to the agreement.
Why do I have to sign this?
In order to provide services through the Proof Platform as an independent contractor server, you must review and agree to the Server Agreement. This agreement defines the relationship between yourself and Proof, while outlining the requirements for accessing the Proof Platform.
What happens if I don’t sign it?
You will be unable to continue using the Proof Platform to access jobs and provide services. You may regain access upon acceptance of the Agreement.
Does this impact my pay?
No. Pricing will still appear in the app and be visible prior to accepting the job.
Why is there a new agreement?
Proof periodically reviews and updates its agreements to remain compliant with changing laws and requirements. This is a routine update after not having modified the Agreement for almost three years.
What are the highlights of what changed in this version?
We clarified the requirement that independent contractor Servers must be licensed and insured as required by their state or local jurisdiction.
We’re clarifying the independent contractor relationship, including confirming and updating independent contractor business entity information.
We’ve included three exhibits 1) Pricing Explanation; 2) Protection of Proof’s intellectual Property and 3) Arbitration
Does this change the way I interact with Proof?
No. You remain an independent contractor with control over the means and methods of getting the job done. This newest version is intended to make that even clearer.
How do I find the agreement?
When you log into the platform you will be prompted to sign the agreement. If you clicked "Finish Later," simply close and reopen the Proof app to be prompted again.
