Overview

Job duplication allows you to create a new service job using an existing job as a template. This feature is particularly useful when you need to serve the same person again or recreate a job with similar details.


How to Duplicate a Job

  1. Navigate to the job you want to duplicate

  2. Click the "More Actions" menu

  3. Select "Duplicate Job

What Gets Duplicated?

When duplicating a job, you can choose which elements to include:

  • Documents (optional)

  • Child jobs associated with the same address (optional)

  • Basic job details (always included):

    • Servee information

    • Address

    • Court information

    • Service instructions

    • Add-ons

Important Things to Know

Billing

  • Each duplicated job is billed as a separate service

  • Payment information will need to be provided for the new job

Access & Permissions

  • Only the original job owner can duplicate jobs

  • You must have access to the original job's documents to use this feature

Relationship to Original Job

  • The duplicated job is treated as a completely new service

  • While the system maintains a reference to the original job for tracking, the jobs are handled as separate entities

  • The original job will show an activity log entry noting that it was duplicated

Common Use Cases

  • Serving the same person again at a later date

  • Creating a new service when previous attempts were unsuccessful

  • Setting up similar services for different cases

Limitations

  • Jobs can only be duplicated one at a time

  • Linked jobs (jobs served at different addresses) cannot be duplicated together and must be recreated separately
