Disabling blocking of Proof cookies for case management integrations

If you're having trouble logging in to a Proof via an integration (e.g. Clio, MyCase, or Litify), follow the steps in this article.

Due to privacy concerns, browsers are implementing tracking protections and restricting cookie usage within iframe elements, which unfortunately can prevent Proof's integration from working within MyCase, Clio and Litify integrations. Follow the below instructions for your respective browser to resolve this issue.

The Proof integration with your case management software does not track you or invade your privacy in any way! Adding Proof as an exception for third party cookies is required solely for core functionality due to the nature of how the integration was technically implemented within your case management software.


Click the browser you use below to see the appropriate instructions.

Firefox

Option 1: Turning off enhanced tracking protection:

1. Open up the Proof integration (e.g. on a MyCase, Clio, or Litify Matter)

2. Click on the Protection icon (the shield icon on the left side of the URL bar)

3. Click the toggle to turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection

Option 2: Adding an exception for Proof:

1. Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner of your browser and click Settings

2. On the left side panel, select the Privacy and Security tab

3. Select Standard protection option

4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and click on Manage Exceptions.

5. Once you're asked to input the name of the site, type in proofserve.com, click Allow, and finally Save Changes.

Safari

1. In the upper left corner, click on Safari

2. Choose to Preferences

3. Select the Privacy tab.

3. Disable Prevent cross-site tracking and Block all cookies

Chrome

Option 1: Disable blocking of third party cookies

1. Click on three dots in the upper right corner of your browser and select Settings

2. On the left side panel, select the Privacy and security tab

3. Click on Site settings

4. Click on Cookies and site data

5. Turn off the Block third-party cookies option by choosing either Allow all cookies or Block third-party cookie in Incognito

Option 2: Add an exception for Proof

1. Click on three dots in the upper right corner of your browser and select Settings

2. On the left side panel, select the Privacy and security tab

3. Click on Site settings

4. Click on Cookies and site data

5. Scroll down and click the Add button under Sites that can always use cookies

6. Once you're asked to input the name of the site, type in [*.]proofserve.com
